I was down at Cambridge goth night the other day when, in among all the Sisters of Mercy and Rammstein, the DJ started playing Rick Astley. I was hugely confused at the time, but now I understand that this is some kind of internet-wide in-joke.

[cackles with laughter at the DJ story] That's great! The joke, in case you haven't googled it already, is in a prank of offering a link that purports to be something of interest to the target, but is actually that Rick Astley song. It's called Rickrolling.
